My film was called Taken, I decided to anaylise the scene when his daughter gets kidnapped by three men.
- What types of emotions did I experience?
emotions I experience were shock, rage, upset and tense - How did these emotions shape my responses? (what did I do or think as a result of these emotions?)
These emotions shaped my response to the scene as when I was watching the clip I hid my eyes with my hands. - How did the film engender these emotions? (think about the micro & macro elements and alignment with characters)
The film engendered these emotions as the camera flicked from the daughter to the dad, the sound also created a sad and dim atmosphere this made tension build as we didn't know what to expect. The lighting was dim and gloomy this also help to make the mood sad and build up tension, the structure of the film built up my rage as previously we saw the dad and daughter being close and the relationship of father and daughter, we also know that the daughter was lying to her dad and didn't leave him the number to were they were staying. - How did these emotions shape my experiences with the film? (Think of the film as a whole rather scenes separately) After watching this scene I wanting to watch all the film as it made me grip to the storyline and wanting to follow the dads search to find his daughter.
